What is Pilates?

Welcome to Pilates Plus! Pilates is a unique system of rehabilitation and conditioning exercises developed by Joseph H. Pilates in the early 1900's and brought to the United States in 1926. The Philosophy of Pilates is to focus on training the mind and body to work together toward the goal of overall fitness. Joseph Pilates believed his method would enable people to become more productive both mentally and physically. These exercises can be performed with or without equipment with equal success.

Pilates is suitable for all ages and abilities. It is an excellent method, to strengthen, lengthen, tone and balance muscles. Pilates improves posture and increases flexibility. Each session will leave you feeling rejuvenated with a renewed sense of well-being.
